The JESSICA SIMPSON Reality Tour

I love music, especially LIVE music!  On Tuesday, June 15, my friends Samantha, Emalie, Miranda, and I cruised to Charlotte to the Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre to see JESSICA SIMPSON in concert.  Jessica put on an amazing concert - one of the best I have ever seen!

Nothing flashy - no fireworks, no backup dancers, and no pre-recorded music.  Just Jessica, two backup singers, and a live band.  Jessica may have strutted across the stage a few dozen times, but other than just a few shakes, she used her energy to sing, not to dance.  Her voice is unbelievable!

I've seen Jessica sing on television dozens of time, but when she is in a small venue for a concert, she really shines.  She doesn't have to "put on a show."  She just really hangs out with the crowd and sings her heart out.  She interacts with her fans - a few of them even got to ask her questions, especially about her life with hubby Nick Lachey. 

What you see on Newlyweds is true - Jessica can be a little ditzy, but to me, that makes her more of a real person.  She made fun of herself when she forgot a few of the words to a song..."I forgot the words to my own song...I'll just catch back up at the chorus."  Jessica joked about the heat and humidity that can be felt in the Carolinas.  "It's sooooo hot y'all.  I just know I'm gonna have 10 zits on my forehead tomorrow."

When SHE asked a fan for a hug, she apologized for being so sweaty.  She joked that her fan would say "I saw Jessica Simpson in concert.  She had B.O.!!!!"

The best part of the Jessica Simpson concert, other than having tickets on the 8th row, right in the center?  Her opening act.  His name is Ryan Cabrera.  His CD will drop this August, and I hope he'll send me a copy himself...I gave him my card. :)
